The first generation
It started with Pacheco Brothers.
Before Karl was even born, his father and uncle started a landscaping company together here in the East Bay — Pacheco Brothers. It grew into a respected name in the trade, and it became the family's whole world.
Karl was raised in and around that work: the early mornings, the crews, the properties, the standard of doing a job right because your name was on it. The business eventually sold, but the trade was already in his blood.
The next chapter
Karl built his own.
Rather than walk away from the only world he'd ever known, Karl started Pacheco Landscape Management — carrying forward the family name and the lessons that came with it, but built for a new kind of client: public agencies, community associations and commercial properties that need a partner they can count on.
He's spent his entire life in this business. That experience shows up in the details most people never notice — and in the relationships that have kept clients with him for years.
A family operation
Run side by side.
Pacheco Landscape Management is genuinely a family business. Karl leads the work in the field; his wife runs the billing and the office. Together they keep the operation personal, responsive and accountable in a way larger companies struggle to match.
A local from Castro Valley, Karl is a community guy at heart. The way he sees it, every property is somebody's neighborhood, somebody's workplace, somebody's responsibility — and managing it well is how you earn the right to keep doing it.
